Inauguration of the XENON1T Experiment

The XENON1T experiment at Gran Sasso Underground Laboratory is about to start after several years of preparation and installation. The experiment was inaugurated on Nov.11. It uses 3.5 ton of ultra-pure liquid xenon to search for dark matter and will become the largest and most sensitive dark matter detector upon starting.
